Popularization of science

The Faculty of Chemistry UG conducts lively educational and popularization activities.  Well-known for years and appreciated are the demonstrations of chemical experiments conducted by Dr. Tomasz Plucinski. Numerous workshops, demonstrations and lectures are also in constant demand.

Both students and everyone, regardless of age, interested in chemical sciences can get a direct glimpse of a chemist's workshop during the numerous proposals presented at the annual Baltic Science Festival.

During the Academy Fair and the Department's Open Days, you can find out what student life is like and what course of study to choose. You can peek into the scientific studios and laboratories, get to know, one of the most modern in Europe, the building of our Faculty, see and feel the secrets of organic, inorganic, analytical, physical, theoretical chemistry, environmental chemistry and technology, radiochemistry or molecular biology.

The fascinating, colorful and impressive world created by chemistry has also been presented for years by students of the Scientific Circle of Chemists, while the Scientific Circle of Environmental Protection promotes issues related to environmental protection and ecological behavior in society.
