Baltic Science Festival
Baltic Science Festival at the Faculty of Chemistry UG
The Baltic Science Festival is an event to popularize science. The Festival is jointly organized by universities of the Pomeranian Voivodeship, scientific institutes, branch institutes and science-related non-academic circles. The Faculty of Chemistry has participated in the Festival since its inception.
The Festival is addressed to a wide range of society in our region, regardless of education and age. Participants in the events include elementary, middle and high school students as well as, adults and even preschoolers.
The purpose of the Festival is to bring the public closer to the subject of ongoing scientific research, to familiarize them with the achievements of science and present them in the clearest possible attractive form, conducive to arousing curiosity about the world and the joy of learning about it. The organizers of the Festival, in particular, want to draw attention to the social usefulness of research conducted in scientific laboratories.
