Chemical Olympics
On 28 and 29 January 2022, the Faculty of Chemistry UG hosted the second stage of the 68th Chemistry Olympiad. Solving the textual (theoretical) tasks took place on Friday, at 12:00-17:00 with the sanitary regime due to the applicable restrictions related to the COVID-19 pandemic. The next day, Saturday, at. 9:00-13:00 there was a test of practical skills of the Competitors resulting in the solution of laboratory tasks.
In the Gdańsk District, the second stage of the competition was attended by 13 secondary school students from the towns of Gdańsk, Starogard Gdański, Gdynia, Sopot and Chojnice.
Athletes participating in the second stage of the 68th Chemistry Olympiad in Gdańsk were welcomed by: Dean of the Faculty of Chemistry UG Dr. hab. Beata Grobelna, prof. UG and Chairwoman of the Gdańsk Regional Committee of the Chemical Olympiad Dr. hab. Joanna Makowska, prof. UG.

68th Chemical Olympics
On 20 November 2021, the Faculty of Chemistry hosted the first stage of the 68th Chemistry Olympics. Solving the theoretical tasks was divided into II part due to the applicable restrictions related to the COVID-19 epidemic and the preservation of the sanitary regime. In the Gdańsk District, the competition was attended by 55 high school athletes from Gdańsk, Gdynia, Sopot, Kościerzyna, Wejherowo, Starogard Gdański, Słupsk, Malbork, Chojnice, Olsztyn, Czułchów and Lębork.

Chemical Olympics
On 29 November 2016, the Faculty of Chemistry hosted the first stage of the 63rd Chemistry Olympics. Some of the competitors from the Warmian-Mazurian Voivodeship wrote the first stage in Olsztyn. In the Gdańsk District, 82 competitors took part in the competition (from schools from Gdańsk, Gdynia, Rumia, Słupsk, Bytów, Chojnice, Olsztyn, Nowy Miasto Lubawskie, Kwidzyn, Bartoszyce, Iława, Braniewo, Elbląg and Tczew).
Participants in the first stage competition in Gdańsk were welcomed by: Chairman of the Regional Committee of the Chemical Olympics – Prof. Zygmunt Warnke and Vice-Dean for Studies at the Faculty of Chemistry UG – Dr. hab. Jolanta Kumirska, prof. UG.

On 29 and 30 January 2016, the Faculty of Chemistry hosted the second stage of the 62nd Chemistry Olympics, comprising theoretical and laboratory parts. In the Gdańsk District, the competition was attended by 25 players (from schools from Gdańsk, Gdynia, Rumia, Słupsk, Człuchów, Kętrzyn, Kwidzyn, Bartoszyce, Braniewo and Elbląg).
Competitors participating in the II stage were welcomed by: President of the Main Board of PTChem - Prof. Jerzy Błażejewski, Vice-Dean for Studies at the Faculty of Chemistry UG – Dr. hab. Mariusz Makowski, prof. UG, Chairman of the Regional Committee of the Chemical Olympiad – Prof. Zygmunt Warnke. The gentlemen also made a ceremonial opening of the envelope with tasks.

On 30 and 31 January 2015 at the Faculty of Chemistry took place the competition of the 2nd stage of the Chemistry Olympics, including the theoretical and laboratory part. In the Gdańsk District, the competition was attended by 22 players (from schools from Gdańsk, Gdynia, Rumia, Słupsk, Człuchów and Olsztyn).
