RECRUITMENT INFORMATION FOR PAID WORK PLACEMENTS

DEAR STUDENTS !!!

We would like to inform you that the UG Department of Chemistry is starting recruitment for paid domestic internships within the framework of the project "PROgram for the Development of the University of Gdansk (ProUG)". Recruitment of candidates for Internships will be conducted from April 7 to April 16, 2021.

RECRUITMENT CONDITIONS:

1)     Full-time students of the UG Department of Chemistry majoring in Chemistry may apply for eligibility for the NATIONAL internship program.:

        a) Chemistry bachelor's degree from recruitment 2019/2020;

        b) Chemical Business (1st Degree Engineering) from the 2018/2019 recruitment.;

        c) of the course Environmental Protection (first degree) from the recruitment 2019/2020.

NUMBER OF PLACES LIMITED

2)     Students who are not in arrears due to student obligations may apply for eligibility for the internship program.

3)    A student is defined as a person with active student status at the University of Gdansk at the time of submitting application documents for an internship.

4)    A given student may receive funding for max. 1 internship carried out regardless of whether it is in the country or abroad.

5)    The recruitment process will involve the selection of candidates based on:

• grade point average for the last completed semester prior to the start of the internship (not less than 3.0);
• weighted average of the grades obtained in the previous period of study - verification on the basis of data from the electronic index;
• assessments of practical skills while working in the laboratory.

6)     A set of documents (CV, cover letter, declaration of participation in the project). Please submit the documents (downloadable: https://chemia.ug.edu.pl/studenci_wydzialu_chemii/proug/staze/pliki_do_pobrania) to room B013 in an envelope marked "PROgram for the Development of the University of Gdansk (ProUG)" from 9 am to 1 pm, or send scans of the documents by e-mail, and the originals by snail mail (postmark date is decisive).

INTERNSHIP CONDITIONS:

1) The time scope of the domestic internship is min. 120 hours of internship, with more than 20 hours of internship tasks performed per week.

2) Term of internships: internships can take place from the beginning of May to the end of December 2021 and must not interfere with teaching activities in the implementation of studies.

3) Financial conditions: the internship is paid - the intern receives an internship stipend of PLN 2,220 gross - for the implementation of the domestic internship.

The detailed conditions of the internship are described in the internship agreement.

4) The internship organizer provides the internship site. It is also acceptable for the student to propose an internship site.
