Prof. Michael Kasha (Florida State University, USA) for pioneering achievements in the field of physical chemistry, in particular in electron molecular spectroscopy and for contribution to cooperation with the University of Gdańsk (October 24, 1991).

Prof. Falk Fahrenholz (Uniwersytet Gutenberga w Moguncji, Niemcy) in recognition of the outstanding contribution to the development of biochemistry, in particular for achievements in the field of research on peptide hormones and their receptors, as well as for merits in the field of scientific cooperation with the Gdańsk peptide center (April 30, 1998).
