Objectives of apprenticeship

The aim of the student work placement is for the Student to acquire knowledge, practical skills and competences necessary for professional work, to confront the acquired knowledge with practice and to create the right motivation for work. The knowledge, skills and competences acquired during the apprenticeship can be used in the writing of the Bachelor's thesis. In particular, the aim of the professional practice is:

  1. Learning about the operation of the workplace (technology, material and water management, quality control, industrial and analytical laboratories, etc.),

  2. To learn about the duties and responsibilities of people at different levels in the unit's management hierarchy,

  3. To know the health and safety rules of the unit,

  4. Ability to use the legal provisions that form the basis for the organisation of functioning in the workplace,

  5. To learn and understand the need to discharge their responsibilities with integrity and honesty, improving their ability to organise their own work and teamwork,

  6. To know and understand the need for rational management of raw materials, products, chemicals,

  7. Formation of specific professional skills directly related to the placement,

  8. To be able to assess the labour market, to know what employers expect of future employees in terms of knowledge, skills and attitudes, including ethical attitudes, and to compare them with their own capabilities in the labour market,

  9. Establish professional contacts, enabling them to be used when looking for a job or searching for a subject for the research carried out as part of the thesis, bachelor's degree and, in the future, master's degree.
