Magdalena DattaMagdalena Datta, MSc, Eng.

A graduate of the Faculty of Chemistry at the University of Gdańsk. She joined the experimental team of Biological Sensitizers Laboratory in 2021 as a scholarship holder of the CEUS-UNISONO international scientific grant. The main goals of her doctoral thesis concern the synthesis and radiation studies on potential radiosensitizers in aqueous solutions, with particular emphasis on purine base derivatives.

Adrian SzczyrbaAdrian Szczyrba, MPharm

A graduate of the Faculty of Pharmacy at the Medical University of Lublin. In 2021, he joined the calculation group of the Biological Sensitizers Team as a scholarship holder of the CEUS-UNISONO international scientific grant. The subject of his doctoral thesis is the process of dissociative electron attachment to potentially radiosensitizing derivatives of purine and pyrimidine bases, studied with the use of quantum chemistry calculations.

Anna CzajaAnna Czaja, MSc

She completed her Master studies at the Faculty of Chemistry of the University of Gdańsk in 2020 and in the same year she joined the experimental team of the Laboratory of Biological Sensitizers. The subject of her doctoral thesis includes the study of the mechanism of photo- and radiodamage to DNA labeled with electrophilic nucleobase derivatives, which is associated with the synthesis of modified fragments of DNA as well as radiation and photochemical studies.
